The Department ofBotany is one of the oldest departments in the SCVB Govt College Palampur whichis established in the year 1996. The Department has well equipped laboratory withmodern instruments. The department is enriched with learning resources such ascharts, slides, models, projectors, smart classrooms, herbarium which help thestudents in independent learning. Department of Botany also have BotanicalGarden with various medicinal plants. The botanical excursion is organized inview to study the wild plant diversity, forest ecosystem and to inculcate theresearch knowledge to the students by visiting Agriculture University, CSIR-IHBT, herbal garden. Department having qualified and experienced faculty.
