NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) aims to develop student's personality and character through voluntary community service, fostering social awareness, civic responsibility, and leadership qualities, while promoting national integration and social harmony.

To encourage students to actively engage in community service activities, addressing social issues such as education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and rural development.

To foster the development of well-rounded individuals with a strong sense of social responsibility and empathy.

To raise awareness about social issues and encourage students to become socially conscious and proactive agents of change.

· NSS Unit Conducts Cleanliness Drive to Promote aClean and Green Campus (27th August 2026)
· A cleanliness drive was organized by the NSS Unit of ShaheedCaptain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur, in which 70 NSS volunteersparticipated enthusiastically. The volunteers cleaned the front and back areasof the college campus, including the canteen area, and helped make the campusclean and well-organized.
· Principal Prof.Pankaj Sood appreciated the efforts of the volunteers andemphasized that cleanliness should be made a part of daily life. The drive wasconducted under the leadership of NSS Programme Officers Prof. Rajiv Bhoria and Prof. Pooja.
· The volunteers actively contributed with discipline and teamspirit. The campaign conveyed a positive message of cleanliness, environmentalconservation, and social responsibility.
