1. First Aid Committee
The First Aid Committee/ Health Club of Shaheed Captain VikramBatra Government College, Palampur has been functioning actively sinceSeptember 2010. It plays a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, andwell-being of both students and staff on campus. The committee is committed toensuring immediate medical assistance in case of accidents or health-relatedemergencies that may occur within the college premises.
One of the key objectives of the First Aid Committeeis to provide timely and effective first aid support, minimizing the impact ofinjuries or health issues until professional medical help is available. Thecommittee is equipped with essential first aid materials and is prepared torespond swiftly in emergencies.
In addition to providing emergency care, the committeealso works to raise health awareness among students and staff. Theseinitiatives aim to educate the college community, empowering individuals withthe knowledge and confidence to handle minor medical situations responsibly.This makes the committee an essential part of the college’s support system.
2. DayCare Centre
The Day Care Centre atShaheed Captain Vikram Batra Government College, Palampur has been operatingefficiently since October 2019. It serves as a wonderful facility for bothstudents and staff, offering a safe and nurturing environment where children canplay, learn, and grow. The centre is a valuable support system, especially forstudent-parents who can focus on their studies with greater peace of mind,knowing their children are being well cared for in close proximity. The DayCare Centre is equipped with various facilities to engage the children inactivities while ensuring their well-being. It is open to all staff members,encouraging them to bring their children to the college and participate in thedaily activities. This initiative reflects the institution’s commitment tocreating a more inclusive and supportive campus environment.
The Day Care Centre is alsoa great help to both teaching and non-teaching staff, allowing them to leavetheir children at the centre during work hours.
